UNC CAMPUS COMMONS

Handprint has partnered with Semple Brown for the University of Northern Colorado’s (UNC) new signature building. The new 114,000 square foot, $73.6 million Campus Commons project will position UNC to deliver first-rate academic programs, customized learning opportunities and individual support well into the future. The building will serve as a hub, connecting the campus at a central location, offering services and promoting success for all alumni, students, the community and future students. Specifically, this project is to include a 600-seat performance venue, a 400-seat multi-purpose hall, art gallery, cafe, and an innovative navigation and support hub for students.

The Campus Commons, to be located south of the University Center near the intersection of 11th Avenue and 22nd Street in Greeley, Colorado, will be designed to work in tandem with the rest of the University of Colorado campus. The project aims to meet or exceed the USGBC LEED Gold standards, setting the bar on sustainability for the campus through constant improvement and return on investment. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2017.
