Virtual office in physical space

Long forgotten are the days of the architect’s drafting studio, private offices and cubicles. An

architectural office can function via cloud-based technology and the occasional client meeting

in a coffee shop, but idea generation and project dialogue thrive on physical collaboration.

Technology and the virtual experience does not replace the need for effective and quality

physical interaction.

media:scape by Steelcase fosters collaboration across the table, integrating people, space

and technology. Through the integration of furniture and technology, Handprint Architecture is

collaborating in a dynamic meeting setting, allowing us to create better solutions. In close

proximity at one table, we interact more effectively and share information, to focus and be more

productive, building on each others ideas
